My dog loves this bed
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have a 70lb rottweiler who loves this bed! She used to have one of those beds with the sides- she liked the sides because she could stick her head in the corners. Even though I knew she liked the sides, those beds aren't really made to last. After about 8 months, the foam had gotten mushed around and lost its shape and, most importantly, was flattened to the ground and my dog started to develop bald elbows.

I got this bed because, after doing lots of research, buying it from this seller was the best price for a memory foam bed around. Even though it was a little bit out of my price range, I got it because you can buy replacement covers (hopefully the foam will last for years) and memory foam is really good for big dog joints.

I was surprised by how soft the beige fleece-like top is - it doesn't ball up and gather hair like the other bed. It is easily removed and can be thrown in the washer. I guess my only critique of the product is that after two washings, some strings are sticking out of the cover - it does not appear to be falling apart at all, though. I hope the cover lasts through many washings. This bed is about 4" thick. Inside, there is a piece of foam that is really two pieces glued together. The bottom is about 2" of regular yellow foam and there is about a 2" piece of egg-crate memory foam on top. I was afraid my heavy dog would sink through it and her elbows would hurt from the floor, but I tested it by laying down on it myself. Even I didn't sink through to the floor!

My dog's elbows have improved and she hangs out on her memory sleeper all the time. Thanks to K&H for a great product and thanks to Amazon and Martha's pet Place for a great price and very fast, reasonable shipping.

One more reason this is better than one of those oval foam beds with the sides is that this fits in my Honda Fit's back seat perfectly. My dog used to get car sick, but now she has this foam bed to hold her steady. We just took an 8 hour trip each way for Thanksgiving, and she just laid on her bed and didn't get sick once.

Thanks very much. I recommend this product and seller.

Our Dog LOVES it!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We have a 14yr old Boxer that has bad hips. She LOVES this bed and it really helps her get comfortable. My wife takes the cover off once a week and washes it and it has not faded or shrunk. We are very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Can't convince my dog to lie on it
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I really thought my two greyhounds would love these beds since one of them gets on my foam mattress every time I leave the house. One will lie on his half of the time and on his old bed the other half. The other dog, who loves my bed, will not lie on his. I don't understand why, but he refuses. I will have to get rid of the old beds and see what happens! Great quality beds - just a quirky dog I guess!

Well worth the money
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
1. I have a black lab and we've gone through numerous beds etc... etc... All of the beds have ended up being lumpy and thus uncomfortable.

2. This memoryfoam bed is very well made, clean / simple design. Furthermore, it appears to be very comfortable and I think this one will last. I base my thoughts on my experience with having a memoryform mattress on my futon at home and that thing is very comfortable (even compared to my much more expensive real bed mattress) and it's ancient, yet still feels very... new / firm. Thus, although these memory foam mattresses are expensive compared to the usual fare, I think you'll end up saving money because this dog bed should last longer than those cheap brands. Furthermore, the bigger the dog you have, the more important it'll be to get a memoryfoam mattress; ie small weight dogs won't wear out their beds compared to the larger breeds etc...
